Bacchus Waikiki is the small neighborhood wine bar on Lewers Street that has been a beloved late-night anchor of Waikiki's LGBTQ scene since 2013, recently refreshed under new owner Joseph Evans. Open noon to 2am every day, it pours an approachable wine list alongside cocktails, beer and shareable small plates, and trades the hotel-bar polish nearby for plush seating, warm light, and a regulars-rule atmosphere. The room turns over by night: trivia and a drag show on Wednesdays with Grant and Juicy Nicole Smith, RuPaul's Drag Race viewings Thursdays, video-game competitions Tuesdays, and the monthly Boys in Briefs party first Saturdays. DJs spin most nights, the door is friendly, and at midnight when most kitchens close it remains one of the easier soft landings in the neighborhood.
"The most fabulous and friendly bar staff anywhere in the world. The bar patrons are friendly, engaging and talkative."
